Pressure treated timber is an extremely reliable and resilient option for a variety of garden timber projects, such as decking frames, pergolas, garden gates & walkthroughs. The timber is treated under pressure which forces the preservative chemicals, such as Tanalith E, into the wood. This makes the timber more resistant to rot, fungus, mould, and insect attack, as well as being hardier for many years in extreme weather conditions.
We are proud to offer a wide range of pressure treated timber sizes, such as gravel boards, battens, pegs, timber rails & cappings. These are supplied in a variety of lengths up to 4.8m long.
Can I Paint Pressure Treated Timber?
Once the timber has dried sufficiently, you can paint your treated timber if you so wish. We can supply many different options of Woodcare such as treatments, stains and paint all of which will add an additional layer of protection.
Any cuts in the treated timber should be treated with Cut End Preserver.
C16/C24 Pressure Treated Timber
We have a range of C16/C24 pressure treated timber that has been kiln-dried to minimise the amount of moisture in the wood. This improves the stability & straightness of the timber. Often referred to as regularised sawn treated timber or carcassing, the surface has been planned & all corners rounded for ease of handling.
This high grade of timber is commonly used in internal construction such as floors, stud walls and roof joists. It can also be used in external projects such as constructing pergolas, walkthroughs & is a great option for constructing decking frames/joists.
C16/C24 pressure treated timber has the strength and other properties such as bending, compression and density which are required for construction applications.
